Is your character reflected in the way you dress?

Fashion is a significant issue for most of the people in modern society. According to the Maslow's Pyramid theory, once human are satisfied with material life, they begin to pay much attention on spirit world such as the pursuing of self-awareness, beauty and art.  However, just as the comprehensions of Hamlet are various from reader to reader,  different responses people may have on concerning the issue whether the way people dress is an indication of personality.

Never judge a book by its cover. Most of the time, modern people have no choice to decide what they are willing to wear. In order to convenient management decrease security risks, many schools mandatory students to wear uniforms. As uniforms with bright and distinctive color can make students stand out in crowds, teachers and supervisors are able to find aiming students immediately. Besides, from business respect, wearing formal suit make staffs more professional and confident, thus most companies require their employees wear suits.

Many factors and reasons influence people’s decision of apparel. A man who prefers dark color may want to look slimmer rather than be a cool guy; the reason why an actress wearing luxurious jewelries and bags is not she is an extravagant one but job requirement; accordingly, ragamuffins seem not tidy enough due to their poverty. Furthermore, you might find an owner of a transnational cooperation, with high education degree, and fine family background could just dress shirts and jeans.

Truly, we live in a society with rapid tempo and changes. Fashion trends attract most people’s attention and claim that the way you dress is a reflection of identity and authority.  However, people are hiding this materialism under slogans and statements. There is something more significant than outfit or fashion, and it is called soul.
